About the role
The Director of Operations and Security plays a critical role in overseeing the physical facility, security, and operations of Gaudenzia’s facilities. This position is responsible for creating and maintaining safe and efficient work environments that improve business performance and optimize staff productivity.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the physical facility, security, and operations of the buildings, grounds, and equipment.
- Develop and implement security measures, including camera coverage, perimeter access control, and search procedures.
- Ensure timely reporting of incidents, movement of clients, and submission of required reports.
- Schedule and coordinate maintenance, kitchen services, and other operational tasks to prevent interruptions in services.
- Maintain security of the facility, assign supervision, and oversee maintenance, repair, and custodial services.
- Manage the Health & Safety Committee and ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines.
- Perform audits on systems and make necessary adjustments.
- Work with other directors to complete billing invoices and various policy determinations.
- Monitor and manage budgets and overtime for operations, security, kitchen, and maintenance employees.
Requirements
- Four years of progressively responsible experience in fiscal management or similar roles in multi-modality public or private organizations.
- A degree in facilities management or property management.
Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of security and operations of a residential facility for specialized services, including criminal justice involved clients and those with substance use disorders.
- In-depth knowledge of strategic planning, management theories, and techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Broad knowledge of business functions and project management experience.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others and provide constructive feedback.
