Position Overview
This opportunity is for an experienced Client Operations Director who will serve as the primary operational and technical liaison between clients and global BIM/VDC delivery teams. The role is responsible for client engagement, BIM/VDC strategy, project coordination, technical standards, and delivery execution across architectural, structural, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing environments. The ideal candidate combines advanced Autodesk Revit and BIM/VDC expertise with strong client relationship management, project leadership, and operational oversight capabilities. This position aligns client requirements with offshore production teams while supporting quality, consistency, operational performance, and long-term client success.
What You’ll Do
Client Engagement and Operational Leadership
- Serve as the primary operational interface between clients and offshore BIM/VDC delivery teams.
- Lead client onboarding, governance meetings, technical alignment sessions, and delivery reviews.
- Translate project requirements and design intent into clear, actionable direction for production teams.
- Maintain strong client relationships while supporting consistent project execution and long-term account success.
- Collaborate with Client Services and executive leadership on account growth and strategic initiatives.
BIM/VDC Coordination and Delivery
- Oversee BIM/VDC coordination across architectural, structural, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines.
- Support clash detection, coordination issue tracking, constructability reviews, and installation planning.
- Ensure that project quality, schedule adherence, delivery standards, and operational performance expectations are met.
- Capture and coordinate multiple projects, priorities, and geographically distributed teams.
Standards, Systems, and Workflows
- Develop and maintain BIM standards, templates, workflows, content libraries, and execution procedures.
- Manage Autodesk Construction Cloud and BIM 360 collaboration environments and workflows.
- Promote consistent BIM/VDC processes and technical standards across internal and client teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve delivery quality, workflow efficiency, coordination, and scalability.
Technical Leadership and Training
- Provide technical leadership and best-practice guidance to internal teams and clients.
- Lead technical discussions, coordination meetings, and client-facing initiatives.
- Provide training and support related to BIM/VDC tools, standards, workflows, and delivery procedures.
- Guide teams in the effective use of digital coordination and construction technology platforms.
Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and related BIM/VDC platforms.
- Strong understanding of architectural, structural, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing coordination workflows.
- Experience with clash detection, point cloud integration, BIM execution planning, and digital coordination processes.
- Familiarity with additional architecture, engineering, and construction technologies such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Revizto, Rhino, Enscape, or similar tools.
- Working knowledge of U.S. building codes, construction methodologies, and project delivery workflows.
Leadership and Client Management
- Strong communication, presentation, and client relationship management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities, and geographically distributed teams.
- Proven ability to lead technical discussions, coordination meetings, and client-facing initiatives.
- Experience working with offshore delivery teams is preferred.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to provide clear direction and maintain accountability.
Education and Professional Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred.
- At least eight years of experience in architecture, engineering, construction, BIM/VDC, or construction technology environments.
- At least five years of experience managing client relationships, technical delivery teams, or BIM/VDC operations.
- Experience supporting commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or data center projects is preferred.
Certifications
- Autodesk Certified Professional certification is a plus.
- Project Management Professional certification is a plus.
- LEED certification is a plus.
- BIM/VDC certifications are a plus.

Travel
Approximately 50% or more travel is required. Travel includes both domestic and international destinations. Proximity to a major airport is preferred.
