Director of Nursing - Skilled Nursing / Long Term Care

One of NY's best staffed and top rated short term / long term care facilities is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to help lead change. The facility is a well-oiled machine with no issues to fix, focusing on strong leadership and growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing operations across a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility.
• Mentor, coach, and develop nursing leadership.
• Monitor staffing, scheduling, clinical outcomes, documentation, and resident satisfaction.
• Partner with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to improve systems, communication, and accountability.
• Support short-term rehab growth by strengthening clinical quality, hospital relationships, and discharge outcomes.
• Serve as a visible leader throughout the building.

Requirements

• Active New York RN license.
• Experience as a Director of Nursing in skilled nursing, long-term care, subacute rehab, or post-acute care.
