Director of Nursing (Short Pump)
Location: Short Pump Cardiovascular Ambulatory Surgery Center, 4221 Bon Secours Parkway, Suite 100, Henrico, VA 23233 – a new 8,000‑square‑foot cardiovascular ASC with one procedure room providing specialized outpatient diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular care.
About the Role
The Director of Nursing (DON) is the senior clinical leader for the center, responsible for building and leading the nursing and clinical team, ensuring exceptional patient care, regulatory compliance, and establishing clinical standards and operating practices from launch through long‑term growth. This full‑time, exempt position reports to the center CEO and works closely with physician partners and Compass clinical leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage nursing and clinical teams.
- Maintain high standards of patient care, safety, and infection control.
- Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance.
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and supply management.
- Collaborate with physicians and administration to support center goals.
- Serve as administrative leader in the Administrator’s absence.
Requirements
- Active RN license with BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2+ years of nursing leadership experience, preferably in outpatient surgery.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range: $130,000 – $160,000 annually, plus eligibility for an annual target bonus.
