Director of Nursing (DNS)

The Director of Nursing (DNS) position is currently open at Thermopolis Rehabilitation and Wellness in beautiful Thermopolis, Wyoming. The position offers relocation assistance and significant growth potential within an established and respected healthcare organization.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains a nursing service philosophy, objectives, standards of practice, policy and process manuals.
• Establishes systems for care planning, including assessments, plan of treatment, objectives and goals, evaluations and discharge planning.
• Recruits, interviews, hires, disciplines, coaches, and conducts performance appraisals for the nursing staff.
• Demonstrates understanding and knowledge of certification laws and requirements, survey requirements, and Medicare program.
• Validates that reporting departments consistently meet state and federal requirements for long-term care facilities for licensure.
• Validates the existence of a quality assurance program for nursing services and coordinates interdisciplinary quality assurance program.
• Directs the functions and activities of the Emergency Department in the absence of the Administrator.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nursing license in Wyoming.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Certification in Rehab Nursing, geriatrics, or psychiatric nursing preferred.
• Minimum two years' experience as a nursing services supervisor in a long-term care facility.
