Director of Nursing - $5000 Sign on Bonus!

The Director of Nursing at Spectrum Retirement Communities plans, organizes, develops, and directs community clinical and medication programs in compliance with federal, state, and local standards. They work collaboratively with the Executive Director on clinical concerns and compliance issues, making recommendations for resolution. They serve as a clinical resource for community staff.
- Provide nursing care to residents, including completing health assessments, creating and reviewing resident Care Plans with family members or Power of Attorney, discussing changes in resident conditions with physicians, and implementing interventions to reduce falls based on individual resident needs.
- Administer medications and assist with resident care as needed.
- Maintain accurate assessments and care plans in the electronic health record and communicate with the Business Office Manager for accurate resident billing.
Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) preferred, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in Texas.
- Current Nursing License for the state where the community is located.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, or Gerontology is preferred.
- Minimum 1-2 years of management experience in community, acute, skilled, or long-term care settings.
- Experience in geriatric assessment and care.
- Ability to train staff and assess systems to implement improvements.
- Organized and self-directed with a working knowledge of state regulations, policies, and procedures.
