Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of sourcing professionals responsible for networking hardware categories (e.g., switches, optics, and related components).
- Define and execute global commodity strategies to optimize cost, performance, and supply continuity across the product lifecycle—from new product introduction (NPI) through end-of-life.
- Serve as the primary executive interface for key suppliers, driving strategic partnerships, performance management, and long-term capacity planning.
- Partner with Engineering to support product development, including supplier selection, RFx processes (RFI/RFP/RFQ), and design-for-supply-chain initiatives.
- Negotiate complex supply agreements, pricing structures, and contractual terms aligned with Oracle standards.
- Drive supply chain resiliency through risk mitigation strategies, alternate sourcing, and supplier diversification.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance operational scalability.
- Support material escalations and ensure continuity of supply in dynamic, high-growth environments.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in supply chain, sourcing, or supplier management, with a focus on hardware or infrastructure technologies.
- 5+ years of experience leading and developing high-performing teams, including managing managers or senior individual contributors.
- Proven experience owning commodity strategy for hardware components, including cost, supply continuity, and supplier performance.
- Strong experience negotiating complex commercial agreements, including pricing, supply terms, and long-term contracts.
- Experience partnering cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Finance teams to support new product introduction (NPI) and lifecycle management.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and drive alignment across senior stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Engineering, Business, or related field.
