Director of Medical/Surgical and Telemetry

About the role

The Position The Director of Medical/Surgical and Telemetry will provide strategic, operational, and clinical leadership for the Medical/Surgical and Telemetry service lines, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, quality outcomes, and regulatory standards. Reporting to the Executive Director of Nursing, this leader will oversee seven direct reports, 400 beds and approximately 900 FTEs over seven inpatient units.

• Stabilize the workforce
• Improve patient flow and quality outcomes by reducing falls, hospital-acquired conditions, and ED boarding
• Foster staff engagement and accountability to drive successful changes
• Support the continued growth of the Medical/Surgical and Telemetry service lines

Requirements

• BSN required
• Active California RN license required
• A minimum of five years of progressive nursing leadership experience in an acute care clinical environment required
• Experience leading quality improvement initiatives, including CMS Star Rating and Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade performance improvement efforts, is highly preferred

Compensation

Compensation Range The base salary range for this position is $204,069 to 259,667 annually. In addition, a leader may be eligible for other benefits, including but not limited to health insurance coverage, retirement benefits, and bonuses. The total compensation for the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation.

The Organization
