About the Role
The Director of Marketing and Admissions (DOMA) manages the community inquiry and admission process and provides customers with community-related information via community tours, personal visits/assessment, conversations, and follow-up. The DOMA coordinates and implements effective sales and marketing programs with the team.

Responsibilities
- Respond to inquiry calls from hospital discharge planners, families, and other referral sources.
- Conduct community tours.
- Manage the admission process by maintaining updated bed availability and community services information at all times.
- Manage the inquiry process professionally, timely, and with appropriate follow-up.
- Effectively manage occupancy levels and census/premium mix enhancement.
- Make calls to external contacts (medical, insurance, legal, and financial professionals, senior organizations, special interest groups, hospital discharge planners, and other community contacts).
- Develop and maintain relationships to advise referral sources of bed availability and new products and services.
- Maintain a current database of existing and potential referral sources.
- Utilize company’s sales practices and sales tracking tools.
- Alert appropriate department heads and community staff of projected changes (admissions, bed changes, and discharges) through daily admission meetings.
- Utilize bed management principles.
- Maintain a close working relationship with the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) and the Business Office Manager (BOM) to assure appropriate and efficient decisions about prospective admissions.
- Recommend admission decisions to community management.
- Coordinate the development and implementation of sales and marketing plans; serve as chairperson for marketing team meetings, monitor budgets, and track results.
- Maintain a working knowledge of state and federal regulations and reimbursement guidelines (Medicare and Medicaid).
Qualifications
- Associate and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Communications field preferred.
- Two years equivalent experience in a sales/marketing position or Admissions Coordinator position in lieu of degree.
- Previous healthcare community relations experience preferred.
