About the Role

As CohnReznick grows, we are seeking a Director of Learning & Development to join our team. This hybrid position will lead CohnReznick University, our enterprise learning organization spanning Advisory, Assurance, Tax, and Practice Management globally. The Director will develop and execute a future-ready L&D strategy, integrating AI-enabled learning design and analytics, advancing enterprise-wide AI adoption and upskilling, and ensuring our programs meet the highest professional standards. This role reports to the Chief People Officer and collaborates with business leaders and the People & Culture team to drive a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and inclusivity.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a comprehensive L&D strategy as part of an integrated talent development plan, evolving it to meet emerging business needs and future-of-work trends.
  • Lead and strengthen CohnReznick University, fostering an inclusive learning culture where employees are empowered to grow.
  • Integrate advanced technologies and AI into learning solutions (e.g., personalized learning pathways, adaptive platforms, learning analytics) to drive engagement and measure impact.
  • Champion enterprise AI upskilling initiatives, partnering with business and technology leaders to embed AI competency development into programs.
  • Oversee the firm’s CPE (Continuing Professional Education) program and NASBA compliance, ensuring all learning programs meet standards and reporting requirements.
  • Design and deliver scalable leadership and management development programs that set industry standards.
  • Develop future-focused curriculum for technical and professional skills, aligning with industry trends and emerging competencies (e.g., AI, digital transformation).
  • Oversee a modern learning technology stack, including LMS/LXP platforms, content libraries, and analytics systems to optimize learning experiences.
  • Integrate learning with broader talent processes (onboarding, career pathways, performance management) and ensure robust career pathing and skills frameworks.
  • Manage relationships with external learning providers, vendors, and industry consortia to benchmark and incorporate best practices.
  • Act as a culture carrier and change agent, promoting company values and a growth mindset through learning initiatives.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive talent development experience, with deep expertise in L&D strategy and program execution in a dynamic, fast-paced corporate or professional services environment.
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading large-scale L&D programs (preferably global or multi-location), driving measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong background in learning analytics and data-driven decision-making to improve program effectiveness.
  • Experience with AI in learning and talent development, including AI-driven tools, personalized learning technologies, and responsible AI practices.
  • Proven track record in CPE program management or similar compliance-driven learning initiatives, with familiarity with NASBA/AICPA standards.
  • Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills, able to influence senior executives and collaborate across functions.
  • Strategic thinking and innovation, translating business strategy and future trends into a compelling learning vision.
  • Outstanding communication, facilitation, and project management abilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in HR, Education, Organizational Development, or related field preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CPTD, SHRM-SCP) are a plus.
  • Bonus points for:
    • Prior professional services and/or accounting industry experience.
    • Experience in a matrixed environment.
    • Curriculum development for a highly technical workforce.
    • People analytics/data storytelling capability.
    • Experience with offshore learning and development teams.

Schedule

This is a hybrid position. Team members are expected to be in the office or collaborating in person on average 3 days a week, with the cadence determined at the team level.
