About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Director of IT & Automation to join the team of a leader in the Technical Services space. This leader will own the enterprise IT roadmap across support, security, and automation while helping shape a scalable operating model for a growing organization. The role will combine hands-on technical depth with strategic leadership, ensuring core systems remain reliable, secure, and well integrated. The director will partner closely with business and technology stakeholders to strengthen service delivery, reduce operational risk, and improve the employee technology experience. A strong focus on AI-enabled automation will help modernize IT operations and create lasting efficiency gains. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.
Responsibilities
- Set the IT roadmap for enterprise technology, support, security, and automation
- Lead IT support, endpoint management, and major incident response
- Shape the IT operating model as the company grows
- Oversee the health and integration of core enterprise technology
- Provide technical leadership for Microsoft 365 administration and security
- Identify and mitigate technology and operational risks
- Make AI and automation integral to IT operations and employee experience
Qualifications
- 8+ years in IT with significant leadership experience
- Proven track record in IT support and service delivery in fast-paced environments
- Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft 365 and enterprise IT administration
- Technical credibility across enterprise SaaS, cloud infrastructure, and integrations
- Experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, and IT security governance
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated success in applying AI and automation to solve IT challenges

Pay
Compensation: $140,000 – $150,000 annually
