About the role

The Director of Institutional Research Administrator provides overall leadership and administrative oversight of institutional research functions to support the University’s internal reporting, decision making, planning, and continuous improvement efforts. Key responsibilities include overseeing the administration of student surveys, directing the analysis and publication of results, and maintaining survey response databases. Additionally, the Director leads analytical studies aligned with the University’s academic priorities, evaluates, prioritizes, and directs research initiatives aligned with institutional priorities, and provides strategic analysis and guidance in support of ongoing academic planning processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the administration of student surveys and direct the analysis and publication of results.
• Maintain survey response databases and ensure data integrity.
• Lead analytical studies aligned with the University’s academic priorities.
• Evaluate, prioritize, and direct research initiatives aligned with institutional priorities.
• Provide strategic analysis and guidance in support of ongoing academic planning processes.
• Supervise Institutional Research staff and ensure the effective delivery of data, reporting, and analytical services.
• Provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership to inform institutional planning, policy development, and decision-making.

Requirements

The Director of Institutional Research Administrator requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in analytics, qualitative and quantitative research methods, survey design, and data analysis. Experience working at a college or university is preferred, along with knowledge of and experience coordinating institutional research functions. Leadership, management, organizational, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively with units across campus and interact effectively within a culturally and ethnically diverse community.

Qualifications

Skills

The Director of Institutional Research Administrator should have the ability to design and conduct research studies and lead institutional research projects using appropriate analytical methodologies. They should demonstrate vision and expertise in higher education metrics and analytics, including qualitative and quantitative research methods, survey design, and data analysis. Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines, are also required. The Director should also have the ability to translate complex quantitative data into actionable information, design and produce periodic reports for campus leadership, accrediting bodies, and external agencies, and clearly present data in narrative, tabular, and graphical formats.

Benefits

The salary range for this position is $10,866.00 - $11,838.00 per month ($130,392.00 - $142,056.00 annually), commensurate with experience.
