About the Role

Families at Alpha Miami surround themselves with trusted advisors across every aspect of their lives. You will be the one they've been looking for in education. You'll become the person they reach out to when uncertainty arises, when something doesn't feel right, or when they want to share a moment they trust you'll appreciate. You'll develop such familiarity with each family that you anticipate their needs before they articulate them—and you'll possess the judgment and poise to address whatever they bring with discretion, warmth, and apparent ease.

Over time, you won't simply represent their child's school. You'll become woven into the way they experience this phase of their family journey. The private school landscape in Miami is intimate, tightly connected, and unforgiving when mistakes occur. How families experience Alpha extends well beyond the campus—it reverberates through the networks that shape decisions: residential buildings, private clubs, yachts, charity galas, and WhatsApp groups that influence where the next wave of families enrolls. You'll grasp this reality intuitively, having built your career in environments where reputation serves as the sole currency and a single error outlasts all accomplishments. You'll cultivate a community families want to protect, where membership feels natural and referrals emerge because the experience warrants them.

Miami operates as a global city by nature. You'll engage with families from Latin America, international corporate leaders, finance and technology professionals who recently relocated to Miami, and globally mobile households whose perspective on education—and institutions broadly—has been formed by experiences well outside conventional American private schooling. Many navigate between Miami, São Paulo, Bogotá, Madrid, and New York as fluidly as others commute locally, and they will evaluate Alpha against alternatives anywhere worldwide. The ideal candidate will navigate cross-cultural family dynamics—and the expectation of seamless, sophisticated relationships—with the same confidence they bring to Miami's established private school environment.

Alpha represents a departure from traditional education. Students complete core academics in two hours daily through AI-powered applications, then dedicate remaining time to public speaking, critical thinking, and practical projects. No traditional lectures. No unnecessary assignments. Outcomes in the top 1% nationally. Families selecting Alpha made a deliberate choice—and in a city where opinions proliferate and educational decisions signal status, they face constant pressure to justify it. You'll ensure they're never at a loss for a response. If sustaining that conviction through years of sophisticated, internationally informed scrutiny feels burdensome, this position isn't suitable.

Responsibilities

  • Shape the cultural fabric of the school community—its tone, traditions, and implicit standards that foster belonging—so Alpha becomes a place families take pride in, not merely a school they selected
  • Oversee the complete parent relationship lifecycle—from initial contact through enrollment, retention, and sustained advocacy—ensuring faculty remain student-focused while families always have a trusted contact
  • Detect early when something feels misaligned, and address it with the discretion and judgment that preserves trust—including the more difficult judgment of recognizing when a family isn't an appropriate match
  • Maintain visibility where families gather: morning drop-off, afternoon pick-up, evening programming, and the spontaneous exchanges that carry the most weight
  • Develop a community that both domestic and international families feel invested in protecting—and where referrals occur because the experience merits them
  • Communicate Alpha's narrative persuasively—in individual conversations, at gatherings, and in settings filled with discerning, internationally oriented families where the school's standing is truly established

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Operating from an office—your visible presence within the community defines the role
  • Adhering to standard 9–5 schedules—early mornings, late afternoons, and evening commitments are integral to the position, not occasional requirements
  • Delegating challenging parent discussions to faculty or administrators—you own these conversations entirely
  • Relying on administrative infrastructure, established procedures, or a complete team—you function with substantial autonomy and create what's necessary
  • Approaching family relationships as transactional accounts—this role values authentic connection over procedural adherence

Requirements

  • 5+ years building and maintaining trust with high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth families in a high-touch, relationship-centered capacity
  • Demonstrated success guiding sophisticated clients through consequential decisions—with measurable outcomes you can articulate: conversions, retention rates, referral generation
  • The discretion and composure to navigate sensitive, confidential matters without creating lasting complications
  • Proven experience managing and developing personnel—providing coaching, maintaining high standards, and executing difficult staffing decisions—not merely managing relationships or client accounts
  • Innate cross-cultural competence with both globally mobile families and established Miami residents
  • AI-forward orientation—you employ AI tools fluently, understand their strengths and limitations, and proactively identify superior solutions, even without building them yourself
  • Located in Miami, available full-time on campus, and adaptable to variable scheduling
  • Authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship

Nice-to-have Qualifications

  • Background as a head of school, principal, superintendent, or in an equivalent educational leadership position
  • Professional proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese
  • Personal or professional exposure to independent or non-traditional educational models
  • Established connections within Miami's private school parent communities
  • Experience working with internationally mobile, Latin American, or globally connected family populations
  • A personal network extending through the neighborhoods, clubs, and institutions where Alpha's families reside and make decisions
