This hands‑on director role balances strategic budgeting and architecture with direct work in portals, terminals, and code. The role reports to senior leadership, leads a near‑shore engineering pod, and collaborates across IT, engineering, product, and business units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cloud Infrastructure: Own architecture, cost, performance, and reliability of the Azure estate (including Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Intune) and manage workloads on AWS and GCP. Drive infrastructure‑as‑code, cloud cost management, and set standards for networking, identity, secrets management, and environment separation.

Manage vulnerability/patch management, endpoint protection, email security, logging/SIEM, and incident triage. Oversee third‑party/vendor risk, policy development, security awareness, and compliance with PII, PHI, and other privacy regimes.

  • Hands‑On Engineering: Write and review code, create fixes or mitigations in production, and automate work through scripting, pipelines, runbooks, and monitoring.
  • Cross‑Organizational Collaboration: Partner with the IT & Helpdesk Director, Engineering, Product, and external vendors/MSPs. Manage budgets, contracts, and translate risk for executive audiences.
