About the role

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Director of Housekeeping to lead our housekeeping department and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee daily operations, develop staff, and implement quality control measures in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring cleanliness and maintenance standards are consistently met
• Develop and implement cleaning protocols, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and quality
• Recruit, train, and supervise housekeeping staff, fostering a motivated and professional team
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with health and safety standards
• Manage inventory, procurement, and budget for cleaning supplies and equipment
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate cleaning schedules and special projects
• Address guest concerns and resolve issues promptly to ensure a positive guest experience
• Monitor and analyze departmental performance metrics, implementing improvements as needed
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in hospitality housekeeping management

Requirements

• Proven experience in housekeeping management, preferably within the hospitality industry
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures
• Exceptional attention to detail and quality standards
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality or management certifications are a plus
