Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding clinical care.
- Collects, analyzes, and reports on occurrence trends and develops/implements improvement plans.
- Partners with the Administrator and other team members to maintain resident and team member health and safety.
- Collaborates with the pharmacy consultant to provide optimal pharmaceutical services to residents.
- Provides clinical expertise for licensed nurses and assists with educational presentations as needed.
- Identifies and documents ongoing needs and services of residents through the assessment/Service Plan process, especially for residents with changing health care statuses.
- Maintains the resident’s service plan and reports any pertinent changes to the responsible party.
- Partners with other department coordinators to review and discuss potential changes in service/medication levels.
- Schedules clinical staff on a monthly basis and ensures adequate clinical supplies are available.
- Participates in a rotating on-call schedule.
- Supervises LPNs and CNAs and other assigned staff to ensure consistently high-quality care to residents.
- Communicates with resident’s family and/or responsible party regarding changes in care or health concerns.
- Informs the Business Office of fee changes related to care needs, if applicable.
- Maintains communications with resident’s family and/or responsible party regarding changes in care or health concerns.
- Schedules clinical staff on a monthly basis.
- Ensures adequate clinical supplies are available.
- Participates in a rotating on-call schedule.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing.
- One (1) year of experience in a nursing leadership role; Senior Living experience preferred.
- BSL Certification.
