Responsibilities

• Ensures community adheres to all relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding clinical care.
• Collects, analyzes, and reports on occurrence trends and develops/implements improvement plans as needed.
• Partners with the Administrator and other team members to maintain health and safety protocols for residents.
• Collaborates with the pharmacy consultant to provide optimal pharmaceutical services to residents.
• Provides clinical expertise for licensed nurses and assists with educational presentations as assigned.
• Identifies and addresses ongoing needs and services for residents through the assessment/Service Plan process, including documentation for residents with changes in health care status.
• Maintains the resident’s service plan according to state regulations and collaborates with other department coordinators to review and discuss potential changes in service/medication levels.
• Participates in community awareness activities and community relations, and communicates changes in care or health concerns to resident’s family and/or responsible party.
• Schedules clinical staff on a monthly basis and ensures adequate clinical supplies are available.
• Participates in a rotating on-call schedule.
• Supervises LPNs and Certified Nursing Assistants to ensure delivery of high-quality care to residents.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing; Registered Nurse preferred.
• One (1) year in a nursing leadership role; Senior Living experience preferred.
