Responsibilities

• Ensures community adherence to all relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding clinical care.
• Collects, analyzes, and reports on occurrence trends, and develops/implements improvement plans as needed.
• Partners with the Administrator and other team members to maintain and improve resident and team member health and safety.
• Collaborates with the pharmacy consultant to optimize pharmaceutical services for residents.
• Provides clinical expertise to licensed nurses and assists with educational presentations as assigned.
• Identifies and addresses ongoing needs and services for residents through the assessment/Service Plan process, including documenting changes in health care status.
• Safeguards the resident’s service plan according to state regulations and collaborates with other department coordinators to adjust service/medication levels if necessary.
• Maintains communication with resident’s family and/or responsible party regarding changes in care or health concerns.
• Informs the Business Office of any fee changes related to care needs.
• Schedules clinical staff on a monthly basis and ensures adequate clinical supplies are available.
• Participates in a rotating on-call schedule.
• Supervises LPNs and CNAs to ensure consistent high-quality care delivery to residents.
• Communicates with residents and their families promptly regarding any changes in care or health concerns.
• Participates in community awareness activities and community relations.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing; Registered Nurse preferred.
• One (1) year of experience in a nursing leadership role; Senior Living experience preferred.
• BSL Certification.
