Director of FP&A
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a dynamic, strategic, and growth-oriented leader to join Momentum as the Director of FP&A, providing financial planning and analysis leadership for PMG—the largest and fastest-growing company in our portfolio. In this high-impact role, you’ll serve as a key finance partner, driving insights, performance, and strategic decision-making that enable PMG’s continued success. As a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis on our FP&A team at Momentum, your days will be dynamic and filled with opportunities to contribute to our mission. Here's a glimpse into what your overall responsibilities might look like:
- Collaborate directly with the VP of Finance and senior leadership to drive decision-making and financial outcomes.
- Persistently partner with multiple business leaders to guide strategic investments, monitor industry trends, and assess overall business health.
- Develop a deep understanding of PMG’s business drivers, including integrated media services, and the nuances of retainer, variable commission, and SaaS revenue models.
- Support business transformation initiatives and provide analytical insight into performance trends and investment opportunities.
- Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for PMG.
- Create and maintain sophisticated financial models and dashboards that support business performance and strategic planning.
- Manage and analyze multiple revenue models
- Partner on the integration of newly acquired businesses and ensure financial alignment and performance tracking.
- Support post-acquisition reporting, synergies realization, and operational alignment.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 3 to 5 FP&A professionals, fostering a high-performance, collaborative, and growth-oriented environment.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and support for skill development, process improvement, and career advancement.
- Lead by example to promote analytical excellence, accountability, and curiosity within the team.
Qualifications
- Holds a Bachelor's degree ideally in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior strategic finance role.
- Proven experience in supporting large, complex business units (preferably in media, advertising, or SaaS environments).
- Demonstrated success in managing hybrid or multiple revenue models.
- Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities; experience with FP&A tools like Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, or Tableau a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative and business-minded approach.
- Previous experience managing and developing teams in a high-growth, results-driven culture
- Experience in a holding company and/or in a start-up environment is a definite plus.
- Can handle multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment, navigating ambiguity and remaining agile.
