About the role
A growing, multi-location organization is seeking a Director of FP&A to lead financial planning, forecasting, financial modeling, and strategic finance initiatives. This is a highly visible role partnering directly with executive leadership and will have exposure to M&A activity, banking relationships, treasury management, and long-term financial strategy. The ideal candidate is a strategic finance professional with strong modeling skills who can move beyond traditional FP&A and serve as a key financial partner to the executive team.
Responsibilities
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning
- Develop sophisticated financial models to support strategic decisions, growth initiatives, and business planning
- Build financial models and analysis related to M&A, acquisitions, investments, and other strategic opportunities
- Support due diligence, valuation analysis, transaction modeling, and integration planning for M&A activity
- Manage and maintain relationships with banks, lenders, and other financial institutions
- Partner with leadership on treasury management, cash flow planning, liquidity, and capital structure
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, debt, and overall financial liquidity
- Serve as a key point of contact with banking partners and assist with financing activities
- Analyze business performance, profitability, revenue trends, and operating metrics
- Develop and maintain executive-level reporting and KPI dashboards
- Provide leadership with scenario analysis and recommendations regarding growth, investments, and capital allocation
- Partner with Accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting and meaningful variance analysis
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, forecasting, and decision-making
- Present financial analysis and recommendations to senior leadership
- Support other strategic finance initiatives and special projects as the organization continues to grow
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 7+ years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, or strategic finance experience
- Strong financial modeling and forecasting expertise
- M&A and transaction modeling experience strongly preferred
- Experience working with banks, lenders, or other financial institutions
- Understanding of treasury, cash management, liquidity, and capital structure
- Advanced Excel skills and strong financial modeling capabilities
- Experience working with senior executives and presenting financial information to leadership
- Strong business acumen and ability to translate complex financial information into actionable recommendations
- Experience in a multi-location, retail, consumer, real estate, or similarly operational environment is a plus
- CPA, CFA, or MBA is a plus
Pay
$150,000 - $200,000 + Bonus
