About the role
The Director of Foster Care and Adoptions oversees the foster care and adoption programs within the organization, ensuring that all foster families and adoptive parents are provided with the necessary support and resources.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation and management of foster care and adoption programs
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with foster families and adoptive parents
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding foster care and adoption
- Provide guidance and training to foster families and adoptive parents
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery
- Conduct regular assessments of foster families and adoptive parents
- Manage the foster care and adoption caseload
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in foster care and/or adoption services
- Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
Qualifications
- Experience working with children and families in crisis
- Knowledge of child development and family dynamics
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Skills
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Pay
Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually
Schedule
Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
