About the role
Platt College Los Angeles consists of four Southern California campuses located in Alhambra, Ontario, Riverside and Anaheim. Platt offers certificate and degree programs in several subject areas including school of graphic design, business and legal studies, medical sciences, and information technology. Responsibilities
The Director of Financial Aid will provide direction and leadership for the Financial Aid Department. The Director of Financial Aid will manage the Financial Aid Department with a special emphasis on compliance with federal regulations, school policy and service to the students.
Requirements
- Experience with the budget process as well as an overview of A/R and A/P
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated Leadership Ability
- Superior organizational and problem resolution skills
- Strong basic computer software (MS Office) skills as well as exposure to specific financial aid software programs such as CampusVue, SAINT, WebGrants, and NSLDSC
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree is required, Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred
- A minimum of three years of recent experience as a Director of Financial Aid is required, preferably in a post-secondary institution, OR comparable management experience preferred
- In depth knowledge of principles, practices, methodology, and procedures for the provision of student financial aid
- Knowledge of college’s policies pertaining to the provision of student financial aid
