About the role
Provide leadership for the direction, supervision, and coordination of the system's Federal Programs (Title IA, Title IC, Title IIA, & Title IVA).
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for the development and implementation of Federal Programs.
- Provide leadership and encouragement to staff in achieving the basic skills essential to attaining high academic goals.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with parents and the community, encouraging their participation and support of Federal Program activities.
- Provide leadership for the continuing professional development of Title Programs.
- Provide for the effective management of the Federal Programs budgets.
- Ensure the timely and efficient implementation and application of all guidance, policies, and procedures governing the operation of Federal Programs.
- Provide for the prompt and accurate maintenance of all records and submission of all reports required for Federal Programs.
- Manage budgets and data collection in the Consolidated Application.
- Work closely with program managers from the Georgia Department of Education.
- Oversee Federal Programs to include, but not limited to:
- Title I, Part A - Academic Achievement & Family Engagement
- Title I, Part C - Education of Migratory Children
- Title II, Part A - Supporting Effective Instruction
- Title IV, Part A - Student Support and Academic Enrichment
- Work with staff to develop and execute school improvement plans.
- Establish priorities, set realistic goals, and follow projects through to conclusion.
- Inspire enthusiasm, individual initiative, and self-confidence in employees.
- Promote professional pride.
- Delegate authority to others, allowing latitude in accomplishing the assigned task.
- Be accessible to staff members, parents, students, and the community.
- Communicate positive, clearly-defined expectations to staff, parents, and community.

- Demonstrate the highest personal commitment to assigned responsibilities, providing leadership by personal example.
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Superintendent.
Requirements
- Minimum L6 certification.
- Educational background and practical knowledge of general school administration at the principal level, management and planning, building-level budgeting, staffing, and child development.
- Proficiency in oral and written communication, interpersonal relations, and competency in organizing, planning, and evaluation.
- Successful leadership experience with emphasis on instructional management, planning, budgeting, supervision, and interpersonal skills.
- Prior supervisory experience, including managing budgets.
