About the role

Lead maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry operations at Tudor Oaks Senior Living, American Baptist Homes of the Midwest's senior living campus in Muskego, WI. Tudor Oaks is a full-continuum community offering independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing on one campus. We're hiring a Director of Facilities Management to oversee the people, systems, and preventive maintenance that keep our residents safe and comfortable.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry departments, setting priorities and reviewing work for quality and completion
  • Build and run a preventive maintenance program covering HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire alarm, and security systems
  • Hire, train, and manage staffing levels across all three departments
  • Maintain equipment and supply inventory, and manage vendor relationships for contract work
  • Prepare resident living quarters for move-in, move-out, and transfers
  • Respond personally to urgent facility issues outside normal hours as part of a rotating on-call schedule
  • Keep accurate maintenance and safety records in compliance with facility, state, and federal requirements

Requirements

  • Experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or building maintenance
  • Valid Wisconsin driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Comfortable managing multiple staff and projects with competing deadlines

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior maintenance leadership experience in a skilled nursing facility, retirement community, or hospital preferred
  • Intermediate computer skills for work order tracking and reporting preferred

Pay

$70,000-$80,000/year, based on experience.

Schedule

Full-time, exempt. Day shift hours with occasional off-hour and weekend response as part of a rotating on-call schedule. No mandatory weekend rotation and no required holiday shifts.

Physical requirements

This role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing throughout the day, along with lifting up to 75 pounds. Close, distance, and color vision are required for equipment and safety work.
