Position Overview
The Director of External Reporting will lead the SEC reporting function and oversee the preparation, accuracy, and timeliness of all external financial disclosures. The Director of External Reporting will partner closely with Accounting, FP&A, Investor Relations, Legal, Tax, and executive leadership to ensure compliance with SEC regulations and U.S. GAAP. As a key finance leader, the Director of External Reporting will drive reporting excellence, strengthen disclosure controls, and support strategic initiatives impacting the business.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and filing of SEC reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and support for other public filings.
- Oversee external financial disclosures, ensuring compliance with SEC requirements and U.S. GAAP.
- Manage quarterly and annual reporting cycles while coordinating with key finance and business stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors on reporting-related matters.
- Monitor regulatory and accounting developments and implement necessary disclosure changes.
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and development of the external reporting team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
- 8+ years of experience in SEC reporting, public accounting, and/or public company financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of SEC regulations, U.S. GAAP, disclosure requirements, and SOX compliance.
- Big Four or national public accounting firm background.
Pay
$180,000-$200,000 + bonus + LTIP
Schedule
Flexible hybrid schedule (2 days in office).
