Director of Event Technology
About the role
The Director of Event Technology (DET) at INSPIRE is responsible for achieving revenue and profitability goals for an assigned location(s). This role ensures the team delivers exceptional customer service and cultivates relationships with key venue personnel to enhance the business relationship with the venue.
Responsibilities
- Act as primary point of contact for INSPIRE to both clients and hotel management
- Interact with hotel staff to maintain a mutually beneficial relationship towards sales and service expectations
- Manage daily setup and striking of audio-visual equipment for meetings and major corporate events
- Routinely interact and collaborate with freelancers to ensure events are prepared in a timely fashion
- Handle all monthly billing and invoicing to ensure all payments are in a timely fashion
- Manage inventory control to ensure equipment is tracked and accounted for at all times
Requirements
- 3 years of experience working as an audio-visual director or supervisor
- 3 years of experience as a primary technology expert for various events
- Sales or customer service experience in hospitality or event production
Qualifications
This role requires someone who is detail oriented and cares about delivering exceptional service, possesses strong communication skills, has a professional demeanor, and is tech-savvy enough to handle technology failures before, during, or right after an event.
