Responsibilities
- Mentor, coach, and manage a multidisciplinary team of modeling and simulation, AI engineers and researchers
- Drive the engineering lifecycle from conceptual ideation to viable product innovation within the distributed energy and power distribution systems domain for data centers and energy industries
- Champion innovative thinking by leading the implementation of AI and machine learning for product innovation, system optimization, and smart grid integration
- Utilize strong interpersonal skills to resolve conflicts, inspire team cohesion, and manage cross-functional dynamics seamlessly
- Establish clear department KPIs, conduct performance evaluations, and build professional development pathways for engineering staff
- Apply rigorous project management frameworks to deliver complex engineering and R&D projects on time and within budget
- Lead the technical and financial scoping of engineering proposals, grant applications, and commercial bids
- Manage departmental budgets, engineering resource scheduling, and testing lab assets
- Build and maintain strategic alliances with top-tier universities, research institutions, and national laboratories to accelerate product innovation
- Foster a collaborative, forward-thinking environment that rewards technical curiosity and creative problem-solving
Requirements
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related STEM field
- 10+ years of progressive engineering experience, with a proven track record in R&D environment
- Practical understanding of system-level modeling and simulation tools (such as MATLAB/Simulink, FEA, CFD, etc.) to evaluate system or structural performance, thermal management, and fluid interfaces
- Proven personnel management excellence with experience leading, guiding, and managing a team of advanced engineers
- Strong knowledge and background in power system dynamics, power electronics hardware integration, and digital control loop design
- Demonstrated ability to apply rigorous project management frameworks to manage complex, multi-year technical timelines and engineering budgets
- Demonstrated experience leading or supporting technical and financial proposal development for grant applications and commercial bids
- Established track record of managing university engagements and national laboratory relationships to drive product innovation
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10+ years of progressive engineering experience
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related STEM field
- Practical understanding of system-level modeling and simulation tools

Pay
$100,000 - $150,000 annually
Schedule
This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. Works a sufficient schedule to meet the expectations of the role. Work Location: This role requires work to be done Onsite from our Menasha, WI office.
