About the role

The Director of Engineering at Enverus Power and Energy Transition (PET) will lead engineering teams responsible for building and evolving our customer-facing PET software products. The role is based in Brno, Czech Republic.

Performance Objectives

  • Oversee releases of multiple products, ensuring delivery on scope, schedule, quality, and operational readiness.
  • Work with the Product organization to define short- and long-term roadmaps, translating strategy into execution plans and measurable outcomes.
  • Lead and develop teams across multiple products and/or technology functions, including managing managers and senior ICs.
  • Serve as the technically-savvy voice that asks the right business questions, ensuring solutions meet business needs and scale with demand.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine practices, standards, and processes to deliver sustained value, improve reliability, and increase delivery throughput.

People, Culture, and Talent

  • Build a high-trust culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement; grow the next generation of leadership and management talent.
  • Recruit, onboard, mentor, and grow engineering talent; provide frequent and constructive feedback and set clear expectations.

Cross-Functional Partnership & Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate strategic issues across departments and represent Engineering with senior stakeholders, communicating complex technical topics clearly.
  • Align technical delivery to business objectives and foster a culture of collaboration across functions.

Technical Strategy & Operational Excellence

  • Balance immediate product/business needs with technical debt and strategic technical investments.
  • Provide guidance on investigating and addressing production issues and complex technical challenges, ensuring the teams can respond effectively.

Competitive Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams across multiple products and managing managers and senior ICs.
  • Strong track record of owning end-to-end delivery, including release oversight, operational readiness, and stakeholder management.
  • Able to translate business strategy into technical execution and communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong judgment in balancing product outcomes with technical health and technical debt investments.
  • Experience leading mixed-technology stacks (web + desktop + services) and modernizing legacy components is preferred.
  • Experience in regulated/compliance-aware environments (e.g., SOC-aligned operational expectations) and building reliability/observability is preferred.
  • Experience working across distributed/global teams and multi-site engineering organizations is preferred.

Technical Environment

  • PRISM PNR product stack includes:
  • Web frontend (ReactJS/TypeScript)
  • Backend services across Node JS
  • Data Ingestion pipelines using Databricks and Python
  • CI/CD across GitHub; compliance expectations include SOC reporting requirements in the environment
