Director of Donor Engagement (FT $85,000.00/Year)

About the role

Catholic Charities of Onondaga County seeks a Director of Donor Engagement to lead the execution of a donor-centric strategy, oversee all aspects of the gift cycle, and cultivate lifelong relationships with donors.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of a donor-centric strategy
• Oversee all aspects of the gift cycle
• Initiate/arrange opportunities for Executive Director, Chief Financial Officer, and governance to build/strengthen relationships with community members, existing donors, and prospective donors
• Maintain guidelines established by the funding sources and Catholic Charities policies and procedures
• Oversee the preparation of internal and external communications, including but not limited to printed and or electronic appeals, annual reports, press release, crisis communications, capital campaigns, donor briefs and newsletters
• Oversee accurate record-keeping related to donors
• Employ critical thinking skills, as well as agency fund-raising events
• Oversee the agency's digital presence, including but not limited to website maintenance and social media
• Prepare an annual Donor Engagement Department budget and perform donor engagement related tasks for the corporation, as needed
• Oversee staff who may work on-site or remotely

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 5+ years of professional work experience in a frontline fundraising role or business development role
• 3+ years of supervising staff and managing a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 products (particularly Outlook, Word, and SharePoint) and Adobe Acrobat Pro

Qualifications

• Preferred experience in non-profit sector, preferably for human services organizations
• Familiarity with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge software
• Public speaking experience
• Experience raising awareness and funding for a capital campaign

Working Conditions and Environment/Physical Demands

• Must have mobility sufficient to drive to and participate in meetings at client's homes and/or community facilities that may not meet Federal accessibility standards for disabled individuals.

Pay

The Pay for this position starts at $85,000.00 per year.

Schedule

This Position is Full Time Exempt at 35 hours a Week.
