About the role

We’re looking for a Director of Digital Marketplaces who will lead the strategic growth and performance of OneSkin’s marketplace ecosystem across Amazon, TikTok Shop, and emerging platforms. This person will own marketplace channel P&Ls, including achieving revenue and contribution margin targets, and overall contribution to the broader company revenue strategy. This person will be responsible for end-to-end strategy, performance oversight, and cross-functional alignment, while managing agencies responsible for day-to-day operations, optimization, and media execution.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the long-term marketplace growth strategy across Amazon, TikTok Shop, and emerging digital retail partners.
  • Lead and manage agency partners responsible for day-to-day optimization, content, advertising, and operations providing strategic direction, KPI frameworks, and performance accountability.
  • Drive channel-level sales, profitability, and efficiency goals by optimizing assortment, pricing, promotions, and merchandising strategy.
  • Partner with agency to build quarterly and annual marketplace plans including forecasting, budget allocation, and product launch sequencing.
  • Identify and evaluate new marketplace opportunities and partnerships to expand OneSkin’s digital footprint and customer reach.
  • Oversee agency-driven performance reporting and ensure data integrity across KPIs including traffic, conversion, CAC and LTV:CAC.
  • Partner with marketing to integrate paid media strategies (Amazon Ads, TikTok Ads, Google Shopping) into the broader acquisition roadmap.
  • Use data insights to inform strategic decisions around spend allocation, product positioning, and cross-channel optimization.
  • Build executive-ready dashboards summarizing performance trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
  • Partner closely with Growth Marketing, Brand, and Creative to ensure cohesive storytelling and campaign alignment across DTC and marketplaces.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain on inventory management, demand planning, and fulfillment optimization.
  • Work with Customer Experience and CRM teams to enhance post-purchase engagement, loyalty, and retention within marketplaces.
  • Oversee the strategic direction of marketplace storefronts and PDPs, ensuring brand consistency and conversion excellence.
  • Guide agencies in executing A/B tests, content updates, and UX optimizations informed by data and brand insights.
  • Partner with internal and external creative teams to evolve visual merchandising and promotional experiences.
  • Build and lead a high-performing marketplace function that partners effectively with agencies and cross-functional teams.
  • Stay at the forefront of digital commerce and platform innovation, proactively identifying tools and emerging opportunities that enhance performance and customer experience.

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of experience in eCommerce, marketplace management, or digital retail, ideally within high-growth consumer brands.
  • Proven success developing and executing marketplace strategies across Amazon, TikTok Shop, and similar platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Shopify, Amazon Seller or Vendor Central, TikTok Shop, or similar platforms.
  • Proactive communicator and problem solver who thrives in collaborative settings.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and insights to measure and optimize performance.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Experience driving customer experience improvements across site and marketplaces.
  • Comfort operating at both a strategic and tactical level—balancing vision-setting with hands-on execution.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, ability to influence senior leadership and experience building and developing high-performing ecommerce teams.

Qualifications

  • PhD in a relevant field (e.g., biology, chemistry, materials science) or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record of successful product development and commercialization.
  • Experience in scaling digital marketplaces and optimizing performance metrics.
  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior and market trends.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for longevity and brand storytelling.
