Director of Development
The Marlborough College seeks to appoint a new Director of Development to lead and build capacity within the organisation’s Development team.
About the role
The postholder will play a key role in delivering the Master’s ambition to achieve 20% full and partial bursary student places and help ensure the College continues to provide the quality and range of facilities needed for a holistic education of excellence and opportunity for its pupils.
Responsibilities
- Redefine the College’s fundraising strategy
- Draw on the support and expertise of Marlborough’s extensive, global network of over 10,000 past and present pupils and their families
- Engage with the College’s Council (Board of Governors), Foundation and other governance committees
Requirements
Applicants should have significant experience in fundraising and development roles, ideally within the education sector. They should also possess excellent interpersonal skills, be able to work collaboratively, and demonstrate a strong understanding of the philanthropic landscape.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will hold a relevant degree and have a proven track record in developing and implementing successful fundraising strategies. They will also have a deep understanding of the educational sector and a passion for supporting the growth and success of Marlborough College.
