Director of Data Services (AVP level)

What You'll Do

• Lead Databricks implementation and modernization initiatives across the enterprise
• Develop and execute a multi-year data engineering strategy and roadmap
• Build partnerships with business and technology stakeholders to drive enterprise data initiatives
• Establish best practices for data quality, governance, source control, CI/CD, pipeline automation, and self-service analytics
• Promote modern DataOps practices and scalable cloud-based data platforms
• Mentor and develop engineering teams while collaborating with external partners
• Help shape the organization's approach to AI within the data engineering ecosystem

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, or analytics engineering
• 5+ years leading engineering teams and enterprise data initiatives
• Hands-on experience implementing or migrating to Databricks and Azure-based data platforms
• Experience with modern engineering practices including Git, source control, CI/CD, and pipeline automation
• Experience with enterprise data quality, testing, governance, and metadata management
• Demonstrated success building technical roadmaps while partnering with business stakeholders
• Strong communication, coaching, and executive-level leadership skills
• Experience in financial services, insurance, healthcare, or another regulated industry preferred
