Salary is 170k to 225k + bonus

About the role

The role leads the build and evolution of enterprise data engineering within a P&C insurance environment, combining hands-on technical execution with team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate fragmented legacy and regional data platforms into unified, scalable solutions
• Design and deliver robust data pipelines that support underwriting, claims, finance, and regulatory reporting
• Improve and automate financial data processes, including general ledger and reinsurance flows
• Ensure strong data quality, reliability, and operational performance
• Partner closely with business stakeholders and lead a distributed team
• Stay actively involved in architecture, tooling, and delivery

Requirements / Skills

• P&C Insurance + Financial Data (Must-Have)
• Strong experience working with insurance data across claims & underwriting
• Hands-On Data Engineering (Must-Have)
• Advanced experience building ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL, Informatica, and SSIS, with direct involvement in design and delivery
• Data Platform Consolidation (Must-Have)
• Proven track record migrating legacy and regional data environments into standardized, scalable enterprise platforms
• Modern Data Technologies (Must-Have)
• Experience working with cloud-native platforms such as Databricks and Azure Fabric
• Team Leadership & Stakeholder Partnership (Must-Have)
• Experience leading data engineering teams while working closely with finance, actuarial, and business stakeholders to deliver practical, business-aligned solutions
