Director of Cyber Security- Solutions Architect

About the Role

As a Specialist Director within our Federal Advisory practice, you will lead the architecture, engineering, and implementation of cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions across federal enterprise environments. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to design resilient Zero Trust architectures, secure cloud transformations, and robust application onboarding pipelines aligned with strict federal security frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Zero Trust & Defense-in-Depth: Design, engineer, and deploy Zero Trust Architectures (ZTA) aligned with CISA models and federal mandates.
• Cloud Security & Migration: Plan and execute secure cloud migration strategies (AWS, Azure, GCP) while maintaining robust security postures.
• DevSecOps & Application Security: Integrate security controls into the software development lifecycle, establish secure onboarding, and conduct vulnerability assessments.
• Identity & Access Management (ICAM): Architect robust ICAM, MFA, and least-privilege access frameworks (e.g., Okta, CyberArk, Microsoft Entra ID).
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure systems adhere to federal guidelines, including NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-207, RMF, and DoD Cloud SRG.
• SecOps & Incident Response: Develop SIEM/SOAR use cases (Splunk, Sentinel, Cortex XSOAR) to automate detection and response capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience: 8+ years of cybersecurity solutions architecture/engineering experience (U.S. Federal Government consulting preferred).
• Clearance: Active U.S. Government Secret clearance (or higher) required.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Certifications: CISSP preferred (CCSP, AWS Certified Security, or Azure Security Engineer are strong pluses).
• Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with NIST frameworks, RMF, FedRAMP, SIEM/SOAR platforms, and cloud-native security tools.
• Travel: Willingness to travel as needed for key client engagements.
