Director of Construction Project Delivery Data Center Development | San Francisco, California or (Hybrid) $275,000 - $315,000 Base Salary + Bonus + Long-Term Incentives An emerging and rapidly expanding data center owner/developer is seeking a Director of Project Delivery to lead the execution of its growing hyperscale and mission critical development portfolio across North America.This is a rare opportunity to join a business at a pivotal stage of growth and play a key role in shaping the future of the company's construction and project delivery function. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the delivery of large-scale data center campuses from preconstruction through commissioning, while building and leading a high-performing project delivery organization capable of supporting significant future expansion.The position will be based in California, with a preference for candidates located in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area. Occasional travel to projects and stakeholders across the United States will be required. The Opportunity Reporting directly to executive leadership, the Director of Construction Project Delivery will oversee multiple large-scale mission critical developments while establishing delivery standards, processes, and organizational structure to support an expanding portfolio.The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience delivering complex data center construction programs for leading technology companies, hyperscale operators, developers, or mission critical contractors, with a demonstrated ability to successfully execute campus developments valued in the billions of dollars.This individual will serve as a strategic leader, influencing project outcomes, managing key stakeholder relationships, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Lead the execution and delivery of hyperscale and mission critical data center construction developments across multiple locations.Oversee projects from site development, design coordination, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing project delivery team.Establish project delivery strategies, processes, governance, and reporting standards across the organization.Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, utility providers, and key stakeholders.Drive project schedules, budgets, risk management initiatives, and performance metrics.Provide strategic leadership on contractor procurement, contract negotiations, and project execution planning.Ensure all projects meet the highest standards of safety, quality, operational readiness, and commissioning excellence.Support future business growth through team development, process improvement, and organizational scaling.Act as a senior representative of the company within the data center development and construction community. Requirements 15+ years of construction, project management, development, or mission critical project delivery experience.Extensive experience delivering large-scale data center projects, hyperscale facilities, or mission critical infrastructure.Proven track record successfully delivering multi-building campus developments valued at $1B+.Experience working with leading technology companies, hyperscalers, major developers, owner organizations, or top-tier mission critical contractors.Demonstrated success leading large multidisciplinary teams and overseeing multiple concurrent projects.Strong commercial, contractual, financial, and operational acumen.Experience managing executive stakeholders and presenting to board-level leadership.Deep understanding of data center MEP infrastructure, commissioning, construction sequencing, and project controls.Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.Ability to travel as required throughout the United States.Must be located in California or willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area.
