As Director of Construction (Data Centers), you’ll join our collaborative team delivering award-winning engineering, construction management, and design-build solutions for hyperscale and enterprise data center clients in Corpus Christi, TX.

In this role, you’ll oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of a complex data center construction project. You’ll engage directly with clients, construction teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure technical excellence, schedule adherence, and budget performance. Your ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, navigate challenges, and drive innovation will be key to success in this fast-paced, high-impact environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of a large-scale data center construction project.
  • Ensure technical excellence, schedule adherence, and budget performance.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams in a collaborative environment.
  • Drive innovation and challenge the status quo in construction practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline; or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in heavy construction.
  • Proven leadership in managing large-scale, fast-track construction projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of MEP systems, commissioning, design-build delivery, and technology infrastructure.
  • Experience building and leading high-performing teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • 5+ years of experience focused on data center or mission-critical facilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with hyperscale clients, enterprise data centers, or colocation facilities.
  • Familiarity with Uptime Institute standards, Tier certifications, and energy-efficient design.
  • Passion for innovation and continuous improvement in construction practices.
  • Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams and remote environments.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $182,500.00 to $251,000.00. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Schedule

Hybrid working policy allowing employees to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations.

This position is based in Corpus Christi, TX, and requires in-person interactions for collaboration and client delivery.
