Director of Construction

The Director is responsible for a portfolio of projects, project teams, and client relationships. This role drives execution, financial performance, staffing, operational excellence, and leadership development. Support general leadership of the assigned market Lead data center campus teams Provide hands on management support for individual projects Manage overall budgets and corresponding subcontractor/vendor/consultant budgets Manage overall schedules Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure timely completion. Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed. Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with the contracted scope of work. Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions. Responsibilities Oversee multiple projects simultaneously. Review schedules, forecasts, and risk profiles. Conduct portfolio health assessments. Align resources across projects. Review project forecasts monthly. Manage contingency exposure. Drive change order recovery. Ensure profitability objectives are achieved. Build executive-level relationships. Resolve escalated client concerns. Participate in strategic planning sessions. Generate repeat business opportunities. Develop PMs and Superintendents. Identify future leaders. Conduct quarterly talent reviews. Create succession plans. Standardize processes. Implement lessons learned. Improve project controls. Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
