Job Overview
Search Solution Group is seeking a Director of Compensation in Atlanta GA. This strategic leadership role is responsible for developing, managing, and administering enterprise-wide compensation programs that attract, retain, and reward top talent while supporting the organization's business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, implementation, and administration of company-wide compensation programs.
Ensure compensation strategies align with organizational goals, market trends, and industry best practices.
Conduct regular market pricing analyses and salary benchmarking to maintain competitive compensation structures.
Analyze compensation data and prepare reports, dashboards, and metrics to support business decisions.
Develop recommendations for salary structures, incentive programs, and compensation policies.
Communicate compensation programs, updates, and progress to plan participants and organizational stakeholders.
Partner closely with HR, Finance, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders to ensure compensation initiatives are effectively implemented.
Monitor compensation trends, legislative changes, and market conditions to recommend program enhancements.
Ensure compensation programs comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
Identify opportunities to improve compensation processes, reporting, and operational efficiencies.
Present compensation analyses and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field required. Master's degree or MBA preferred.
Experience: 8+ years of progressive compensation experience, including leadership responsibilities. Experience designing and administering compensation programs within corporate and retail environments. Experience conducting market pricing, salary benchmarking, and compensation analysis. Experience partnering with senior leadership and cross-functional teams on Total Rewards initiatives. Experience developing compensation reporting and executive-level presentations.
Skills: Strong analytical and data interpretation skills. Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency. Excellent presentation and communication skills. Strong project management and organizational abilities. Ability to interpret market data and develop strategic compensation recommendations. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to communicate complex compensation concepts in a clear and understandable manner. Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
Certifications: Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certifications are a plus.
Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of compensation strategy, salary structures, and market pricing. Understanding of compensation regulations and compliance requirements. Knowledge of incentive compensation and Total Rewards programs. Familiarity with compensation survey methodologies and market benchmarking. Understanding of compensation reporting, analytics, and HR best practices. Knowledge of compensation practices across both retail and corporate environments.
