Director of Communications

A leading healthcare association is seeking a Director of Communications to lead executive communications, thought leadership, and strategic storytelling during an exciting period of organizational growth. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and senior leadership team, developing communications that elevate the organization's brand, member engagement, and industry presence. Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with executive leadership on strategic communications and messaging.Develop speeches, talking points, articles, podcasts, newsletters, and thought leadership content.Lead communication strategy across digital, social, email, web, video, and podcast channels.Manage and mentor a small team while remaining hands-on with content creation.Drive modernization efforts, including the use of AI and emerging communication tools.Qualifications10+ years of communications experience.Healthcare experience strongly preferred, especially within associations, healthcare organizations, or health insurance.Proven experience supporting C-suite leaders and executive communications.Exceptional writing, storytelling, and messaging skills.Prior people leadership experience in a player-coach environment.Strong executive presence and ability to influence stakeholders.
