Responsibilities

• Oversee all clinical treatment programs for patients receiving psychiatric and substance use care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality, integrated clinical services and provide leadership for individual and group counseling.
• Develop and implement therapeutic modalities.
• Oversee discharge planning to support effective transitions of care.
• Ensure clinical documentation is accurate, current, and compliant with all regulatory and organizational standards.
• Ensure all company-approved programs are implemented consistently and in accordance with established standards.
• Provide oversight and performance feedback to therapists through evaluations and, when necessary, corrective counseling.
• Ensure all therapeutic interventions—individual, group, and family—are delivered and documented in compliance with professional clinical standards.
• Actively participate in regulatory and accreditation surveys, including The Joint Commission, Medicare, and state licensing reviews.
• Coordinate performance improvement initiatives and complete required monthly reporting.
• Attend treatment team meetings regularly to support coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Ensure clear communication of therapeutic roles and treatment plans with patients and families.
• Participate in the complaint-resolution process as needed to support timely and appropriate outcomes.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership to support effective operations and alignment of clinical services.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Master's degree in social work, counseling, or related field from an accredited school required.
• Independent Counseling or Social Work license required per state regulations.
• Three years of clinical experience in an inpatient behavioral health care setting required.
• Three years of experience working with patient populations served at the facility required.
• CPR certification is required within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
• De-escalation certification is required within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
