About the role
The Education Director – Early Childhood (STEM Preschool) oversees, coaches, and mentors teachers and assistants, conducts observations, evaluations, and training, ensures classrooms meet quality and compliance standards, supports staff schedules, ratios, and daily coverage, assists with hiring, onboarding, and professional development, oversees weekly STEM-based lesson plans, ensures curriculum follows PA Early Learning Standards, supports hands-on science, technology, engineering, math, and literacy activities, reviews and approves classroom projects, STEM experiments, and materials, maintains a positive, organized, and engaging learning environment, communicates effectively with families, supports parent tours, orientations, and conferences, participates in school events and community partnerships, resolves concerns professionally and promptly, maintains compliance with OCDEL/DPW regulations, ensures accurate attendance and documentation, supports incident reports and behavior plans, uses Procare/Brightwheel for communication and tracking, maintains health and safety standards throughout the center.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (required)
- 3–5 years of ECE teaching experience (required)
- 1–2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in childcare or a preschool setting (required)
- Knowledge of PA Early Learning Standards and DPW regulations
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Passion for early childhood education and STEM learning
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Education, ECE, Child Development, or Educational Leadership (preferred)
- Experience in STEM-based or Reggio/Montessori-inspired environments (preferred)
- Experience with curriculum development or instructional coaching (preferred)
