Director of Catering & Conference Services

About the role

The Four Seasons Resorts Lāna’i is seeking a Director of Catering & Conference Services who shares a passion for excellence and infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of team management, including hiring, training, coaching, performance evaluation, and succession planning, while fostering a strong service culture and future leadership development
• Maintain a visible leadership presence, build strong client and guest relationships, resolve concerns, and make timely decisions that balance guest satisfaction with operational and financial goals
• Negotiate contracts, menus, and event proposals to maximize revenue and meet client expectations while ensuring fulfillment of all agreements
• Develop and uphold departmental standards, oversee event planning and execution, coordinate group logistics with Front Office and Guest Services, and ensure optimal use of function space
• Finalize event details and documentation (BEOs, resumes, reports), drive upselling opportunities, maintain accurate billing, and ensure consistent communication and follow-up using systems such as Golden Sales & Catering and Outlook
• Collaborate with Sales, F&B, and operations teams to coordinate events, optimize space utilization, and ensure seamless execution; participate in operational meetings, site visits, and client engagements to support successful program delivery

Requirements

Work authorization required. Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the United States (unless the candidate is currently in a managerial position at another Four Seasons location as they may qualify for a L-1 Visa sponsorship).

Hawaii Driver’s Abstract is required for this role.
