About the Hospital

Vibra Hospital of Boise, located in Boise, ID, is a 40-bed Critical Care Hospital providing acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Our patients often require additional critical care for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation, and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you get to know your patients and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor quality patient standards, patient and payor satisfaction levels.
  • Ensure patients receive prioritized, cost-appropriate, and quality services.
  • Assess, organize, develop, implement, and evaluate the case management program and activities in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, regulations, and Joint Commission standards.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide case management services to patients with medically complex conditions, general medical-surgical conditions, rehabilitation, and wound care needs.

Requirements

  • Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse, Social Worker, or Respiratory Therapist, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, and/or Speech Therapist in the state of employment. Alternately, a Master’s Degree in Social Work is required.
  • ACM and/or CCM certification required for Respiratory Therapist, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, and/or Speech Therapist applicants.
  • Minimum three (3) years of hospital case management experience.
  • Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Registered Nurse preferred.
  • Previous LTAC experience preferred.
  • ACM or CCM and CCDS certification preferred.
  • Previous management experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, able to motivate staff to deliver high-quality, results-oriented case management services.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Assertive and personable with the ability to balance delivering quality, cost-appropriate, and service-oriented outcomes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of case management principles, concepts, and applicable standards of voluntary and regulatory agencies for review activities.
  • Proficient in collecting and retrieving material from medical records.
  • Knowledgeable in utilization review, medical terminology, appropriate levels of care, treatment modalities, statutes, and healthcare delivery models.
  • Highly refined interpersonal relationship abilities with negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong clinical assessment and process skills.
  • Ability to project a professional image.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
  • Freedom from illegal use of and effects of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
