About the role
Gilda's Club Wisconsin provides free, community-based psychosocial support to people impacted by cancer. The Director of Cancer Support Programs leads a team in delivering support services, building partnerships, and expanding access to care.
Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a team of program staff and facilitators, providing supervision, coaching, and clinical oversight
- Oversee the design, delivery, and evaluation of psychosocial cancer support
- Provide some direct programming
- Build and strengthen partnerships with hospitals, healthcare systems, and community organizations to expand our reach
- Identify opportunities for program innovation
- Collaborate with the Executive Director/CEO on strategic planning, reporting, and organizational growth
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution
- Hold valid licensure for professional mental health practice
- Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience, including clinical supervision
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with group facilitation and community-based programming
- Background in oncology, palliative care, grief support, or working with individuals facing serious illness
- Experience building nonprofit or healthcare community partnerships
- Program development, training, and evaluation experience
