About the role
The Director of Business Development plays a crucial role in expanding the department’s client base and securing new business opportunities. This individual will lead strategic initiatives to enhance partnerships and drive revenue growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to increase market share and revenue.
- Identify and pursue potential clients through networking, cold calling, and other outreach methods.
- Manage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners to foster long-term collaborations.
- Prepare and present proposals and pitches to potential clients, emphasizing the department’s unique value proposition.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align business objectives and ensure successful project execution.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to stay ahead of market demands.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in business development, preferably within government or legal services.
- Proven track record of successfully growing client portfolios and closing deals.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
