Director of Aviation Safety

Responsibilities

• Oversee a variety of methods utilized by NICHOLAS AIR to maintain safe and compliant under internal and external standards
• Develop, implement, and maintain an FAA-compliant Safety Management System (SMS)
• Manage risk assessment and safety reporting
• Serve as NICHOLAS AIR’s primary point of contact with regulators, vendors, and other third-party agents on safety-related matters
• Prepare for and support Drug and Alcohol Abatement and FAA audits, inspections, and certifications
• Maintain oversight of internal audits and confidential safety reporting systems
• Work collaboratively with Flight Ops and Training to integrate safety data into all training initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation, Safety, or a related field
• Minimum 5 Years of Management Experience within a Part 135 Operation

Qualifications

This position must report daily to the Oxford, Mississippi Headquarters
