About the role
The Montgomery Housing Authority (MHA) seeks a Director of Asset Management to lead and manage eight public housing sites providing affordable housing for 1400 families. The Director oversees a staff of 34 managing eight Asset Management Projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the renovation and redevelopment of public housing stock
- Supervise a team of 34 professionals in managing eight public housing projects
- Ensure compliance with federal and state housing regulations
- Manage budgets and financial resources effectively
- Develop and implement strategies for asset management and maintenance
- Oversee tenant relations and community engagement
- Complete the Public Housing Management Certification within the first year of employment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration / management, social sciences or closely related disciplines
- Master’s degree in these same disciplines is preferred
- A minimum of eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in low-income housing or leased housing, including a minimum of four (4) years at a supervisory level in public housing, tax-credit housing, apartment management, or local government housing positions
- Completion of the Public Housing Management Certification within the first year of employment with passing scores on all subtests
