Director of Antibody Therapeutics (Professor)

Position Overview

The Department of Molecular Medicine and Therapeutics (MMT) and the Pelotonia Institute for Immuno-Oncology (PIIO) at The Ohio State University (OSU) College of Medicine, OSU Wexner Medical Center and OSU Comprehensive Cancer Center and James Cancer Hospital (OSUCCC-James) invite applications for a senior-level, tenured full professor position to lead a new Antibody Therapeutics Program. We seek an outstanding scientist with a distinguished track record of research in antibody discovery (using single cell cloning, structural biology-based design, functional screening, artificial intelligence etc), engineering including humanization, Fc optimization, bispecific or multi-specific targeting, antibody-drug conjugates, chimeric antigen receptors development, etc., with a focus on cancer immunotherapy. Performance Objectives

The objective of this role is to lead a program in MMT and PIIO to lead an innovative and integrated antibody therapeutics program to extend outstanding work ongoing at OSU with the objective to create an internationally leading program in novel antibody-directed therapeutics. This individual will be a leader both in MMT and in PIIO fostering collaborations across OSU.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Required: Applicants must hold advanced degrees such as a PhD, DVM, PharmD, MD, or MD/PhD. Applicants must have a national and international reputation in antibody discovery and engineering, and significant independent research experience with both historical and current federal funding of research projects as a Principal Investigator.
• Desired: Current or historical experience leading multi-component grants (e.g., P01, SPORE, U awards) desired. Applicants should have an accomplished history of mentorship and deep experience with team science.
