Director of Annual Campaigns
Albion College seeks a Director of Annual Campaigns to lead strategic, innovative growth of its annual giving programs, including the annual fund, targeted appeals, giving days, and affinity-based initiatives (young alumni, parent, faculty/staff, and workplace giving).
About the role
The Director partners with fundraising and stewardship staff to foster a culture of gratitude through stories of philanthropic impact. They implement best practices, build relationships with internal and external partners, and champion a high-integrity approach to strengthening the culture of philanthropy. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload with sensitivity and confidentiality. The role contributes to a campus climate that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic plans for annual giving programs, including the annual fund, targeted appeals, giving days, and affinity-based initiatives.
- Collaborate with fundraising and stewardship teams to promote a culture of gratitude through impact stories.
- Implement best practices in annual giving and relationship management.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners.
- Plan, prioritize, and organize workload with sensitivity and confidentiality.
- Contribute to a campus climate that emphasizes working with individuals and groups from diverse identities, cultures, and backgrounds.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience in annual giving or advancement communications.
- Management experience preferred.
FLSA Classification: Salaried / Exempt / Administrative. Employment Status: At-Will.
