About the role
The Emory University School of Medicine’s Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine seeks an accomplished pathologist to serve as Director of Anatomic Pathology at Grady Memorial Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and academic leadership for the Anatomic Pathology Division, promoting academic advancement and high-quality diagnostic services for faculty.
- Ensure high clinical standards through adherence to CLIA and CAP requirements via oversight of quality, compliance, and laboratory partnerships.
- Guide new Anatomic Pathology initiatives and technology that align with institutional goals.
- Support the education of pathology residents and fellows during Grady rotations.
Qualifications
- Hold an MD, DO, or MD/PhD; be board-certified in Anatomic Pathology; and be eligible for medical licensure in Georgia.
- Experience in general surgical pathology and/or subspecialty practice, along with demonstrated interest in leadership roles.
- Applicants must have 3–5 years of experience.
- Faculty rank (Assistant, Associate, or Professor) and compensation will be commensurate with qualifications.
